Narrative lifedrawing is nothing like lifedrawing

I started a narrative class at the Animation Guild, and my brain is in a mind warp. Most of the things i knew about life drawing were thrown out the window; goodbye form, anatomy, and tone. Now its all about the character; her action, her thought, her motivation, and how to tell a story with an image. It's a whole different mindset that I am not familiar with.

For the first class, we had an awesome model who told a complete story with her poses. Hopefully someone can figure what the story is from my chicken scratch drawings.

It's a New Year Nerds around the world are crying cause the Doctor is died. David Tennant was awesome, he should have stayed on for at least two more season. Matt Smith has big shoes to fill as the new Doctor. I think the real reason to watch is Steven Moffat, cause he's a bad ass motherfucker.

It's just an ordinary regular tree. I found it more difficult to model a tree than I thought it was going to be. I mean it just a bunch of tubes, just took a lot of time figure out where one branch should go.
It's in progress, going to add leaves.

Satyr's Helmet

I am conforming like art students and starving artist, and finally creating an art blog where people can leave comments, like "Really? that's the best this Chinese kid can do?" and "Was he really that bad at math?"

All kidding aside, Hopefully the blog will help motivate me to draw more and will improve my skill over time. The first piece is a prop i built for my character, who is a drunk satyr.

This piece is still work in progress because it is too clean cut. I need to give the helmet a more rusty texture and some dings and lumps cause what drunk wouldn't damage their helmet?
