Satyr's Helmet

I am conforming like art students and starving artist, and finally creating an art blog where people can leave comments, like "Really? that's the best this Chinese kid can do?" and "Was he really that bad at math?"

All kidding aside, Hopefully the
blog will help motivate me to draw more and will improve my skill over time. The first piece is a prop i built for my character, who is a drunk satyr.

This piece is still work in progress because it is too clean cut. I need to give the helmet a more rusty texture and some dings and lumps cause what drunk wouldn't damage their helmet?

And thanks to Pedro for giving me the idea!

This is for the dragon:
Very clean model, nice control of nurbs. a suggestion is push the textures. Add bumps for the scales and color variation in the texture instead of the values of a single color. Use specular map for highlights, such as scales and also a diffusion map to push areas of lights and darks in your model/texture. Overall good job, I know it was challenging. For the helmet model, its creative. I can say the same things that was suggested for the dragon, but other than that you had address all that needs to be corrected.
Keep up the good work, and i look forward to see your future models.
